Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Nights Location unspecified. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for adult and pediatric patients in a hospital setting. The position emphasizes delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards, utilizing specialized knowledge and clinical judgment. The RN is responsible for maintaining effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes during night shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice or a valid compact RN license, and BLS certification. Experience in the clinical area for which they are applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies demonstrated through annual validations.
  • Experience: 0 years minimum required, with at least one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months preferred.
  • Additional Information: Must be proficient in caring for medical, oncology, and telemetry patients. BLS and NIHSS certifications are required. Ability to read telemetry strips is also necessary. The assignment involves working every other weekend and holidays per unit rotation.
