Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

This position requires a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide quality care in a dynamic medical/surgical setting. The candidate will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while managing clinical responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patients' health status and report changes to the medical team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in professional development and adhere to best practices in nursing care.
• Float to other medical units as needed to meet staffing requirements.

Shift Information

• AM shifts required every other weekend.
• Holiday rotation with a requirement to work during assigned holidays.
• Self-scheduling within assigned groups that rotate every scheduling period.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Candidate must be able to work 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts.
• Floating to cover staffing needs is a requirement of this role.
• Pending licensure will not be accepted.
• Local candidates must reside outside of a 50-mile radius.

Work Environment

The position will be in a 32-bed medical/surgical unit focused on innovative nursing practices and new technologies. Team members will work with advanced equipment and contribute to the progression of nursing practices.

Patient Ratios

Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6.

Additional Information

On the first day, new hires will complete a health assessment and then commence their first shift the following Tuesday. Please expect to work one summer and one winter holiday within the assignment period.
