Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) in Medical Surgical (MS) specialty is sought for a facility located in Salida, Colorado. The position involves providing acute care and swing bed patient care on a medical-surgical floor, with a focus on evidence-based practice. The role includes evaluating patient health, delivering health education, executing delegated medical functions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Schedule consists of night shifts, including every other weekend.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights - 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week. No mandatory overtime, but overtime is allowable.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of an Associate Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program; one year of clinical experience. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are preferred.
  • Additional Information: The position involves direct patient care, health counseling, medication and therapy management, documentation in medical records, and coordination with healthcare providers to meet patients social, spiritual, and medical needs.
