Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840–$1,940
- Location: Winfield, Alabama
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Start Date: November 18, 2026
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Scheduling options may include a 36-hour weekly schedule and/or a 7-on/7-off rotation, based on unit needs
- Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend with holiday rotation as required
- Call: No on-call requirement
- Patient Assignment: Approximately 1 nurse to 6–7 patients
- Documentation: Epic EMR
Medical-Surgical RN Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
- Active Alabama Registered Nurse license available at the time of submission
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Recent Epic EMR experience
- Successful completion of required Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia testing, with a minimum passing score of 80%
- Flexibility to float to units within demonstrated competencies
- Availability to meet rotating weekend and holiday scheduling needs
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients during overnight shifts
- Assess patient conditions, administer medications, perform treatments, and evaluate responses to care
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly identify and report changes in patient status
- Collaborate with providers, therapists, support staff, patients, and families to promote safe, coordinated care
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Epic
- Prioritize care for an assignment of approximately 6–7 patients while maintaining patient safety and quality standards
- Float to other units within the scope of training and competency when needed
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations according to the assignment schedule
