Travel Nursing Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,830–$1,920

• Patient Population: Adult Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Progressive Care patients
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 5–6 patients per RN
• Documentation System: Epic
• Floating: Required, including to other Medical-Surgical units, Progressive Care areas, Emergency Department holding areas, and affiliated campuses as needed

Travel RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Florida
• At least 2 years of combined Progressive Care and Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced inpatient healthcare environment
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, and clinical judgment skills
• Epic experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program or equivalent professional experience as accepted by applicable requirements
• Willingness to float and function as an integral member of the nursing team

Med/Surg, PCU & Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Progressive Care patients during 12-hour night shifts.
• Complete nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patient condition, escalating concerns promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards and provider orders.
• Care for patients with varying acuity levels while maintaining appropriate prioritization and time management.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Accurately document patient care and clinical findings in Epic.
• Float to designated units and affiliated campuses as needed to support patient care operations.
• Promote a respectful, patient-centered environment and contribute to a positive team culture.
