Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our busy 19-bed Renal Medical-Surgical unit, specializing in the care of patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, post-dialysis needs, and complex medical-surgical conditions. This high-acuity unit manages a diverse patient population requiring continuous monitoring, frequent assessments, and multidisciplinary coordination. The ideal candidate is confident in managing renal-related complications while thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Information

Nights (7 PM - 7:30 AM) | 36 hours per week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients.
  • Manage patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry.
  • Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Float as needed within scope to similar Medical-Surgical units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Ohio.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience, with renal experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips.
  • Competency testing required on Day 1; failure results in immediate contract termination.
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR is mandatory; lack of proficiency may result in immediate termination.

Additional Details

  • No on-call requirement.
  • Must demonstrate adaptability, efficiency, and strong critical thinking in a high-volume setting.
  • Holiday coverage may be required.
