Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse, located in Sioux City. This position entails providing skilled nursing care to patients within a medical-surgical unit, supporting a multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering high-acuity care and administering various drips, with scheduled shifts including rotating hours.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Valid Driver's License; Iowa State License; Certifications: Active BLS (AHA preferred), Active ACLS (AHA preferred), Active NIHSS; 2 or more years of Med Surg and/or Oncology experience; 12-hour shift length, schedule includes rotating shifts, minimum 36 hours per week; starting on 10/26/2026 and ending on 01/25/2027.
- Preferred Qualifications: High-acuity care experience; prior travel experience.
- Responsibilities: Contribute professional and clinical knowledge within an interdisciplinary team; care for orthopedic, urology, general surgery, oncology, and medical patients; administer drips such as Heparin, PCA, epidural, and chemo (if certified); work within scope of practice, and float across disciplines if needed.
- Certifications and Licenses: Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; valid State License required.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating schedule, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Submission requirements: Work history and skills checklist specific to Med Surg discipline; Supervisory Reference Form within last two years; certifications active at time of assignment.
- Additional Information: First-time traveler acceptable; prior travel experience preferred; compliance with unit-specific policies including holiday work, holiday off limits from 11/25-11/29 and 12/23-12/27.
