Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with IV starts required
- Ability to work comfortably in a 1:6 to 1:7 patient ratio environment
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Must be willing to work nights and every other weekend
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Minimal time off requested for the assignment, especially around holidays
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care to medical-surgical patients with orthopedic and neurological diagnoses
- Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond promptly to clinical needs
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform IV starts and support routine bedside procedures
- Collaborate with physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
- Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
- Maintain a patient-centered, compassionate approach in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Support safe, efficient care delivery across assigned shifts and weekend coverage
