Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• Experience with IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm monitoring
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first approach
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Positive attitude and commitment to excellent service recovery when needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to adult Med/Surg patients
• Perform IV starts, lab draws, and routine nursing procedures
• Assist with NGT placement, wound care, and ongoing patient assessments
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly recognize changes in patient status
• Collaborate with the care team to meet patient and family needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and support care coordination
• Float as needed to support patient care across related units
• Contribute to a respectful, team-focused environment that values learning and excellence
