Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) care is needed for a facility in Tallahassee, Florida. This position involves floating across units within the Med Surg division, with a focus on Diabetes Medical Care Unit (DMCU). The role requires experience with insulin drips, EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system familiarity, and the ability to work weekends and holidays. Orientation and training will be provided, including EPIC training during the second half of the day at orientation.
Job Details:
- Location: Tallahassee, Florida
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Florida license or compact license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 2 years of specialty experience, prior travel experience with at least one completed travel assignment, EPIC EMR experience, experience with insulin drips, and availability to work weekends and holidays. Orientation occurs every Monday, with EPIC training during orientation.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience floating to multiple units within the Med Surg division, previous travel nursing experience, prior experience with insulin drips.
- Additional Information: This position involves floating across all units within the Med Surg division, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The unit has a nurse-patient ratio of approximately 1:5-6 and is located at a teaching facility with trauma level 2 designation, designated comprehensive stroke center, and chest pain center.
