Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position located on a surgical floor. The role involves providing high-quality patient care within a Level I trauma center, caring for adults with various medical and surgical conditions. The assignment spans from October 12, 2026, to January 11, 2027, with a schedule of three 12-hour days per week.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois registered nurse license, BLS certification, minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a medical-surgical setting, experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response, strong skills in wound care, IV therapy, medication administration, and trauma patient management.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Level I trauma centers, trauma Level II experience, and prior travel experience.
- Additional Information: The role requires float within scope to meet facility needs, including unit-to-unit coverage. Candidates must have current certifications, including BLS. The unit specializes in handling patients post-bariatric surgery, plastic surgeries, wound management, and complex post-operative care, offering a comprehensive interdisciplinary care environment.
