Travel RN Job Details

Medical-Surgical Travel Nurse Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical registered nursing experience; 3 years preferred
• Active Oklahoma RN license or valid Compact/Multi-State RN license
• Associate degree in Nursing or equivalent related experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Demonstrated ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to complete required pre-employment credentialing, background screening, and drug screening
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill adult and pediatric patients and individuals recovering from surgery
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Assess patient conditions, monitor for changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Complete patient admissions, discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation
• Communicate regularly with physicians and the interdisciplinary health care team
• Prioritize care for multiple patients while maintaining quality, safety, and infection-prevention standards
• Support a positive, team-oriented environment on the medical-surgical unit
