Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Nights Location: Missouri. This 16-week assignment involves providing exceptional patient care on a high-turnover surgical unit. The RN will be responsible for using their clinical skills to manage acutely ill adult patients, with a focus on patient safety, documentation, and teamwork during night shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid license in Missouri or a compact state, 2 years of medical surgical experience, BLS certification, ACLS certification, excellent documentation skills, and relevant clinical skills including IV placement, phlebotomy, colostomy management, feeding tube care, blood product administration, central line blood draws, peripheral line care, PICC line management, insulin and Heparin administration, and telemetry. Experience with Epic charting system and ability to pass Relias EKG exam with interpretation and dysrhythmia management knowledge.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CBI, epidurals, CBIs with irrigation solutions, and basic telemonitoring knowledge.
- Additional Information: The unit handles diagnoses including ostomy, colon resection, colon cancer, bladder cancer, GU issues, and medical overflow. The environment requires passing a Relias EKG exam, administering various drips, and working within protocols for colorectal and high-turnover surgical patients. The nurse may float within the service line and is expected to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Certifications: Valid BLS and ACLS certifications are required at time of assignment.
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Foleys, CBI, TURPS protocols for colorectal patients.
- Experience Requirements: 2 years of relevant clinical experience on a medical surgical unit.
- Other Details: The assignment begins on 10/12/2026 and ends on 02/01/2027.
