Position Details:

• Position: RN – MedSurg/Telemetry
• Specialty: MedSurg/Tele
• Facility: 337-bed Stroke & Chest Pain Center (Non-Trauma, Non-Teaching)
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Schedule:

• Shift: 12-Hour Nights
• Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36

Requirements:

• Minimum 18 months of MedSurg/Telemetry experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must live more than 50 miles from the home facility
• EPIC experience required
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation experience required
• Experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone) required

Required Experience:

• 18 months MedSurg/Telemetry experience
• Acute care MedSurg experience
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Non-titrating cardiac drip management
• EPIC charting experience

Required Certifications:

• Active RN License
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for MedSurg/Telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes
• Administer medications and manage non-titrating cardiac drips
• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans
• Document care accurately in EPIC
• Float to other regional facilities as needed within scope of practice
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, case management, and interdisciplinary teams
