Job Summary:
Med Surg (Medical Surgical) Registered Nurse position located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care on a post-surgical medical-surgical unit, supporting patient recovery and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. The position offers a dynamic environment where team collaboration and patient-centered care are prioritized.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, 1 year of nursing experience, and compliance with the facility's vaccination policy (e.g., flu vaccination from November 1 to April 1).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in post-surgical care, especially in urology, orthopedics, and general surgery; willingness to learn and take charge in the unit.
• Additional Information: The unit has 23 beds with a patient ratio of approximately 1:6. Equipment includes customary nursing tools and IV pumps; electronic medical records are managed through EPIC. Candidates should demonstrate strong teamwork, effective communication skills, and professionalism in scrubs (black). The assignment duration is flexible, with up to 26 weeks available, and candidates are expected to work at least one major holiday or weekend every other week.
