General Skills and Work Setting

This unit is specifically designated for COVID-19 patients and is equipped with cameras, baby monitors, dinemaps, and computers in every room. All rooms are private with the capability to convert to negative pressure when necessary. The unit accommodates patients with high respiratory needs, including those on Hiflow, CPAP, BIPAP, COVID-19 patients, blood transfusions, wound vacs, and specialty beds.

Request Time Off (RTO)

Maximum of 7 days.

Weekend Requirements

Every other weekend is required unless specified otherwise; approximately 5 to 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule.

Floating Requirements

Floating within the facility as needed, and possibly to other locations within the region if applicable.

Call Requirements

No call is required.

Holiday Requirements

Travelers are expected to work on one major holiday within their assignment period. If two major holidays fall within the assignment, they are expected to work both. For three major holidays, travelers must work a minimum of two.

Compliance

Full compliance is required to start on time. Non-compliance may delay the start of the assignment by 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Once the candidate has signed and confirmation has been sent, the manager has 48 hours to review the profile and determine if the unit, schedule, and expertise are a fit. The offer is available only if all clinical requirements are met within the RTO guidelines and specific facility requirements.

Orientation Hours

The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours is determined by the contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 19 hours for a 19-week assignment).
