Scheduling Details

Shift Hours: 3x12s, nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Weekend Requirement: May be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract

Charting and Documentation

Experience with EPIC charting is required.

Call Off Policy

The facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks.

First-Time Travelers: Yes
Locals Accepted: Yes, following the radius rule criteria
Pending License Accepted: Yes, only for candidates with a single-state license from a non-compact state. An active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license is required for others.

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)

Required Clinical Skills

Charge Experience
Proficient in Medical/Surgical care with experience in Rapid Response and Code teams
Skilled in peripheral line care and management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions

Unit Details

The unit has a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6. It provides adult acute care, managing patients recovering from elective back surgeries, trauma, prostate cancer, gallbladder issues, and cellulitis.

Nurses may be required to float within their skill set and may be asked to take on charge duties or precept others.
