Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse, located in the Portland area, responsible for providing patient care in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves floating between units, working day shifts, and supporting adult patient care within a busy hospital environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: 1-Year / First-Time Medical Surgical (MS) Registered Nurse (RN) Req 10916. Must be able to float between units as needed and work primarily on day shifts.
- Certifications and Education: Valid and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Location Requirements & Experience: Must have at least 1 year of clinical experience in Medical Surgical (MS) nursing, with experience using charting systems in a community hospital setting.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Will support adult patient populations with diagnoses related to trauma, orthopedics, surgical procedures, and more. Must be prepared to float to other units based on staffing needs and possess the necessary skills, including use of rapid response teams, IV care, oxygen management, and other bedside procedures.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must respond to the question regarding prior employment at a Providence facility, with details of location and dates. Two references covering 1 year within the last 3 years are required.
