Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Floor (MS) nursing position is located in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The role involves working on a general skilled nursing (SNF) level of care, providing bedside care and clinical duties in a busy med/surg environment. The assignment starts on August 31, 2026, and is designed for experienced registered nurses (RNs) seeking a 13-week travel opportunity.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with floating and call required. Float: float rotation may be required.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications: BLS; Education Requirements: RN license; Experience: 2 years minimum in medical surgical or similar setting; Location Requirements: New Mexico license or eligible; Years of Experience: 2 years.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Rehab and Med/Surg settings is preferred.
  • Additional Information: Fingerprints for all travelers are required, and only candidates from agencies registered with the state of New Mexico will be considered due to the fingerprint process timeline. Patient ratio is 1:8. The unit has 48 beds. Scrub color is any color. EMR system used is MedHost. There is no formal on-call schedule for the med/surg unit, other than census flex on call prior to start if census is low. No guarantees are offered for this assignment.
