Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Winchester, KY. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced medical-surgical unit within a community hospital. The role requires delivering patient-centered care to a diverse adult and geriatric population, supporting recovery from surgical procedures and managing chronic health conditions.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, current ACLS and BLS certifications, at least 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting, ADN or BSN degree, located in or willing to work 60 miles or greater from the facility.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IVs, NG tubes, PICC and Central Line care, post-operative surgical care for general, orthopedic, and hernia patients, and stroke care.
- Additional Responsibilities: Provide post-operative care for total joint replacement, general surgery, and other procedures; monitor and manage patients with COPD, Diabetes, Dementia, Dialysis, Stroke, NSTEMI, CHF, and A-Fib.
- Shift Details: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with weekly guaranteed hours of 36.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must have required certifications prior to start; refer to LPNT checklist for the most current requirements.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
