Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in a Medical Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, ranging from adults to geriatrics, in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient-centered care to adult and geriatric patients.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
  • Utilize Epic for patient documentation and data management.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Experience in Renal Med Surg is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Pyxis and SBAR communication is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Patient care ratio of 1:5-6 with an average daily census of 48.
  • Standard scrub color is navy blue.
  • Work is performed in a medical surgical unit.
  • Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs.

Schedule and Availability

  • 3x12-hour day shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.
  • Every other weekend commitment is required.
  • A maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) is permitted.
  • Holidays: Ability to work major holidays based on assignment period is required.

Compliance and Orientation

Full compliance with documentation and requirements is necessary to start on time. New hires will complete orientation hours based on their contract length.

Additional Information

Locals are welcome to apply and will receive the same rate as travelers for this position.
