We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 14-week Med-Surg travel assignment at a hospital in Augusta, GA. The nurse will provide care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients on a non-critical-care medical-surgical unit with remote telemetry monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients, monitor vital signs and blood glucose, and document care in Epic.
- Administer medications, provide IV therapy, and manage peripheral lines.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, provide oxygen therapy, and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Participate in emergency responses and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain infection-control standards and follow appropriate isolation precautions.
- Float to similar units as needed, within the nurse’s scope of practice.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Previous Epic experience is mandatory.
- Charge RN experience is required per the job overview.
- First-time travelers are welcome.
- Every other weekend required; no on-call requirement.
- Navy blue scrubs required.
- Flu vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions permitted.
