Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing or surgical care experience
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Experience caring for general surgery patients strongly preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Strong communication, assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to medical-surgical and post-operative patients
• Monitor surgical patients and respond to changes in clinical condition
• Care for patients recovering from general, colorectal, bariatric, and plastic surgery procedures
• Complete patient assessments, administer medications, and support individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on recovery expectations, mobility, and discharge readiness
