Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
- Active Registered Nurse license or eligibility for an NM or Compact RN license prior to start
- BLS certification required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends
- Comfort floating to like units within scope as needed
- Strong clinical skills in Med/Surg nursing; telemetry experience preferred
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical patients
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other ordered treatments
- Support telemetry monitoring, wound care, oxygen therapy, and respiratory interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
- Respond quickly to changes in patient status and assist with rapid response or code team support when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow all unit safety and quality standards
- Float within scope to support patient care needs across like units
