Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Mother/Baby, Post-Partum, Labor & Delivery, Nursery, or a related acute care nursing setting
- Experience supporting postpartum care, newborn assessment, and family-centered nursing care
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and provide reliable 36-hour weekly coverage
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented approach to patient care
- Willingness to float to other units as needed and assist with overflow patient care
- Ability to attend required department education sessions
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns
- Support Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, and Nursery patient needs as assigned
- Monitor patient condition, respond to changes, and communicate effectively with the care team
- Assist with overflow from other units when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safe, compassionate nursing practices
- Adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment while delivering exceptional bedside care
