Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending state license accepted with required timing before start
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in Mother/Baby, postpartum, or women’s health care
• BLS and NRP required
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Ability to float within skill set, including support for NICU Level II nursery patients as needed
• Comfort working with postpartum and antepartum patients, as well as newborn care
• BSN preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to family-centered care

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to mothers and newborns in a Mother/Baby unit
• Support postpartum and antepartum patients with assessments, education, and discharge planning
• Care for couplet patients and assist with newborn transition, feeding support, and routine assessments
• Float within scope of practice, including to NICU Level II nursery care when required
• Perform and document newborn and maternal assessments accurately in Epic
• Educate and support families on breastfeeding, newborn care, car seat trials, and discharge readiness
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Maintain a calm, professional presence while delivering excellent bedside care on night shift
