Job Summary:
The Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department assumes 24-hour responsibility for the overall assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. This role includes oversight and direction for the emergency department, accountability for planning, directing, leading, and evaluating nursing care within the department, and fostering an environment of collaboration and respect with all healthcare team members. Weekend and holiday coverage may be required. Additional responsibilities include investigating patient, physician, and staff complaints, maintaining departmental dashboards, and ensuring compliance with nursing care standards.
