Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a long-term care facility. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to residents and ensuring their health and safety during prescribed shifts.

Shift Information

• Day shift
• 12-hour shifts from 06:30 to 19:00
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Some holiday coverage needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care while adhering to established policies and procedures.
• Utilize Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR) to enhance communication during handoffs.
• Apply the AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explain, Thank) framework in all interactions.
• Conduct hourly rounding to ensure resident comfort and address concerns proactively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and maintain individualized care plans.
• Supervise and train nursing staff and other personnel as required.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care setting is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize patient needs.

This position reports to nursing management and involves coordination with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal resident care and compliance with regulations.
