Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Long-Term Care The registered nurse provides skilled nursing care in a post-acute, long-term care setting. Responsibilities include serving as charge nurse, administering medications, and performing wound care for residents with conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and dementia.

Job Details

  • Required Qualifications: Active professional nursing license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 2 years of long-term care experience.
  • Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; 12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The registered nurse will provide care in a 26-resident long-term care unit, serve as charge nurse, administer medications, perform wound care, and collaborate with physical therapy and social work services as needed. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, along with coverage for every other major holiday. Unit-specific orientation consists of approximately 23 shifts.
