Schedule / Job TypeContract | Day Shift (0600-1430) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday rotation may be required | Shift rotation between days, evenings, and nights may be requested to meet facility needs | Overtime may be available per union rules (up to 4 hours past scheduled shift)
Key Responsibilities- Perform initial assessments, pain assessments, and skin/wound assessments including pressure ulcer prevention and treatment
- Conduct medication pass and oversee CNA staff as charge nurse
- Manage admissions and provide care for patients with common diagnoses including dementia, COPD, CHF, diabetes, and hypertension
- Facilitate family involvement and communication regarding patient care
- Utilize mechanical total lift system and assist other staff as needed
- Maintain current BLS certification throughout the duration of the assignment
Required Qualifications- Active RN (Registered Nurse) license valid in the state of Minnesota
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to work in a 28-bed LTC/SNF/short-term rehab unit with a patient ratio of approximately 1:23-28
- Willingness to rotate shifts and participate in every-other-weekend scheduling
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Meditech EMR system
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or short-term rehabilitation settings
- Familiarity with wound care protocols and pressure ulcer prevention
