Position Overview

Central Peninsula Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment at a long-term care/skilled nursing facility. The RN will provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and principles of primary nursing while following facility policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards.

Shift & Schedule
  • Shift: Days

  • Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM

  • Shift Length: 12 hours

  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

  • Schedule: Any Sunday–Saturday; on-call as needed

  • Floating: No

  • Dress Code: Scrubs

  • Orientation: General and Planetree orientation required

Requirements
  • Active Alaska RN license

  • Minimum 1 year of LTC/SNF experience

  • BLS certification

  • COVID-19 vaccination required

  • BSN not required; BSN preferred

  • EPIC charting experience preferred

  • License required to submit

Patient Ratio
  • Days: 1 RN : 18 patients

  • Nights: 1 RN : 25 patients

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care.

  • Utilize the nursing process and principles of primary nursing.

  • Follow departmental and Heritage Place Wellness policies, procedures, and nursing standards.

  • Assess patient needs and coordinate appropriate nursing interventions.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EPIC.

  • Safely operate computers, applicable software, peripheral equipment, and clinical databases.

  • Participate in on-call coverage as needed.
