Description:
The position involves working in a nursing home setting.
The facility has a total of 70 beds, with the majority being private rooms.
The nursing staff consists of a ratio of 1 RN to 20 patients and 1 LPN to 20 patients.
There are 1 CNA for every 8 patients.
Common diagnoses include dementia, frailty, and rehabilitation needs.
Job duties include charting, conducting assessments, charge duties, and administering medications.
Clinical skills required include IV insertion, catheterization, and ostomy care.
The unit utilizes an electronic medical record system.
RN staff will not be required to read telemetry strips or attend acute inpatient rehab team conferences.
Physician availability is ensured after hours.
An interdisciplinary team, including therapy, social work, and dietary staff, collaborates within the unit.
Respiratory therapy services are available on-site 24/7.
Pharmacy services are provided on-site with a medication dispensing system.
The nursing schedule is block scheduling with varying shifts and shifts that include weekend work.
Every other weekend and at least half of the holidays are required for position dedication.
The dress code is any solid color scrub that is clean and professional.
Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
