The nurse will act as charge nurse, administer medications, and perform wound care. There are no IVs or titratable drips required. Patients typically have diagnoses such as heart disease, diabetes, and dementia. There is a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:10 during the day and 1:19 at night. The nurse will not be required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehabilitation. Physician availability will be by phone on-call for after-hours inquiries. Physical Therapy is available as needed. There will be no floating requirements between units. The dress code requires being clean and presentable without specific scrub colors.
