Schedule: 36 hours per week, night shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), every other weekend required. 13-week contract available.

Highlights:

• Low-acuity geriatric population with patient ratios of 1:40 (ratios improve to 1:20 during peak medication pass hours from 7 PM – 11 PM)
• Residents primarily require assistance with activities of daily living; minimal complex medical interventions (1 Foley catheter, 1 G-tube, no IVs on unit)
• PointClickCare electronic medical record system (experience required)
• 24 hours of orientation provided; no call or floating requirements
• Supportive team environment with CNA support and on-call MD coverage after hours
• 40-bed unit with average daily census of 36 patients

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or state-specific)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) experience required
• PointClickCare charting system experience required
• BLS certification (current)
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate skilled nursing experience
• Proficiency in skilled nursing competencies including medication administration, wound care, catheter care, blood glucose monitoring, diabetes management, insulin administration, infection control, fall prevention, and geriatric assessment
• Experience with feeding tube care, Foley catheter insertion, incontinence management, and pressure ulcer prevention
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous charge nurse experience
• Community hospital or teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I or II experience
• Familiarity with central line care, tracheostomy care, wound VAC therapy, and end-of-life/palliative care
• Experience with rehabilitation, memory care, stroke recovery, and post-operative orthopedic care
