- Weekly Pay:$1,950 to $2,150
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Perform head-to-toe assessments and monitor residents for changes in physical, mental, and emotional condition
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, providers, and the interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications, treatments, injections, IV therapies, and other prescribed interventions safely
- Monitor chronic conditions and identify early signs of complications or deterioration
- Provide wound care, skin assessments, dressing changes, and pressure injury prevention
- Assist with pain management and evaluate resident responses to interventions
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurse practitioners, CNAs, therapists, dietary staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
- Supervise and provide direction to CNAs and other nursing support staff as appropriate
- Assist with admissions, transfers, care transitions, and discharge planning
- Educate residents and families regarding medications, disease management, treatment plans, and ongoing care needs
- Promote fall prevention, infection control, mobility, nutrition, hydration, and resident safety
- Respond promptly to changes in resident condition and initiate appropriate interventions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Communicate effectively with providers and families regarding resident status and care needs
- Follow facility policies, state and federal long-term care regulations, HIPAA requirements, and patient safety standards
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and resident-centered care while maintaining dignity and independence
Qualifications
- Active North Dakota Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 2 years of recent Long-Term Care (LTC) nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Experience caring for geriatric and medically complex residents
- Strong knowledge of long-term care nursing practices and chronic disease management
- Experience with medication administration, wound care, assessments, and care planning
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Strong understanding of infection prevention, fall prevention, and resident safety
- Excellent clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
