Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – South Carolina

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbia, South Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 40 hours per week Monday through Friday; weekend coverage supported by rotating on-call staff. Contract lengths of 13 to 26 weeks available.

Highlights:

  • Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) ICU setting with 12-bed unit and neurological patient population
  • 2:1 patient ratio providing excellent opportunity for focused, high-quality care
  • Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, and more
  • Orientation provided every Monday with reimbursable pre-assignment module completion (up to 16 hours)
  • Daily census of approximately 35 patients with ventilator weaning, complex wound care, and tracheostomy management
  • Flexible contract options with 36 or 48 hour weekly schedules considered

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in South Carolina or compact state eligibility
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
  • Neurological experience strongly required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
  • LTAC experience strongly preferred
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
  • Must be located 100+ miles from facility for full consideration (distance-based requirements apply)
  • Flu vaccine required with no exemptions; COVID-19 vaccine not required
