Job Overview We are seeking an experienced RN - Unit Manager for a travel contract assignment. The RN Unit Manager will oversee daily clinical operations, supervise nursing staff, ensure high-quality patient care, and promote compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
This leadership role is ideal for a Registered Nurse with strong clinical expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Coordinate daily unit operations and staffing assignments.
- Monitor patient care plans and ensure compliance with clinical standards.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for nursing personnel.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection prevention efforts.
- Respond to on-call responsibilities and weekend coverage as needed.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Previous leadership or charge nurse experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or acute care preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
