Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience
• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift
• PCU or Critical Care experience strongly preferred
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-centered healthcare environment

LTAC Nursing Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Support patient rehabilitation and education for patients and families
• Provide timely and accurate documentation in the medical record
• Participate in weekly team conferences and discharge planning
• Communicate patient status changes to physicians and charge nurses
• Direct, train, and supervise ancillary nursing personnel as needed
• Promote patient safety and staff safety at all times
• Maintain a calm, supportive presence for patients, families, and team members
