Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience
• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift
• Strong assessment, documentation, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team-based care environment
• Experience in Long-Term Acute Care, medical-surgical, or critical care settings preferred

LTAC Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and follow individualized nursing care plans for LTAC patients
• Complete nursing assessments within the expected timeframe and use findings to guide care
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to support treatment goals
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Support discharge planning and patient teaching beginning on admission
• Communicate changes in patient status clearly to the appropriate care team members
• Supervise and delegate appropriately to ancillary nursing staff as needed
• Promote a safe, organized, and positive environment for patients, families, and coworkers
• Contribute to patient rehabilitation efforts and help drive quality outcomes
• Maintain professionalism, efficiency, and a commitment to ongoing learning
