Description:
The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients.
Care is provided by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Acts and hospital policies and procedures.
The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills and scientific judgment.
Leadership is demonstrated in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care.
Clinical competencies must be maintained through continuing education.
Patient care priorities should be delegated commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available.
Direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care is required.
Patient ratios are 1:6.
