LTAC (Long Term Acute Care) Registered Nurse in Olympia, Washington. This position involves providing care to patients with complex medical needs, including long length of stay and acute medical patients. The role requires floating between units and delivering high-quality patient care within a short-term acute care facility.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: One year of clinical experience as a registered nurse, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and appropriate licensure for the state of Washington
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with long length of stay patients, long-term care, or LTAC settings, and familiarity with EPIC charting system
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required. Travelers regularly float between various like units, within skill set!
- Special Requirements: Experience with managing patients with dementia, autism, behavioral issues, and complex medical needs; ability to perform procedures requiring overnight stays; assessment of long length of stay patients and daily documentation by providers.
- Additional Information: The unit manages patients with diverse diagnoses, including heavy care and incontinent patients, with some requiring assistance with medications and behavioral management. Patients are assessed frequently, and the unit offers various therapeutic activities and support services. The role involves working in a facility with lifts, mobility equipment, and other specialized tools.
