Job Overview

We are seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager for a 13-week contract assignment. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily nursing operations, coordinating patient care, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical services.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Registered Nurse with strong leadership, organizational, and clinical skills who can effectively manage unit operations while maintaining excellent standards of patient care.


Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the nursing unit
Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure quality patient care
Coordinate patient care plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate clinical interventions
Assist with staffing, scheduling, and workflow management
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance
Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety standards
Provide leadership, coaching, and support to nursing personnel
Assist with quality improvement initiatives and staff development
Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, residents, and families

Job Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (State of New Mexico or eligible for licensure)
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Previous leadership or Unit Manager experience preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification required
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Knowledge of long-term care regulations and quality standards preferred
Must provide valid state or federal-issued identification for facility access
COVID-19 vaccination compliance or approved exemption required
