Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience after graduation
• Experience in Stepdown, ICU, or LTAC nursing required
• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while supporting an interdisciplinary care team

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission
• Develop and follow individualized plans of care based on patient needs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and communicate patient status updates promptly
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating
• Support patient and family education throughout the care and discharge planning process
• Initiate discharge planning beginning on day one of admission
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and on time
• Delegate, train, and supervise ancillary nursing personnel as appropriate
• Promote patient, staff, and environmental safety at all times
• Contribute to a positive unit culture through teamwork, professionalism, and compassionate care
