Travel RN Job Details

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

LTAC Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Florida
• At least 2 years of bedside clinical nursing experience; 1 year of ICU experience is preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required before the first shift
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care for medically complex patients in a long-term acute care setting

LTAC RN Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments within the required timeframe and develop individualized plans of care
• Deliver, evaluate, and document direct patient care using the nursing process
• Identify patient and family education needs and support rehabilitation and discharge goals from admission through transition of care
• Monitor patient condition and communicate changes promptly to physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Participate in team conferences and provide timely, accurate updates regarding patient progress and care needs
• Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision to LPNs, CNAs, and nursing orientees
• Promote patient and staff safety by following infection prevention, safe handling, fall prevention, and workplace safety practices
• Contribute to a positive, efficient unit environment through teamwork, calm communication, and compassionate support
• Prioritize assignments, manage time effectively, monitor supplies, and support quality patient outcomes
• Assume charge responsibilities after orientation as requested and pursue ongoing professional development
