This is one of my favorite locations on this list for a nurse who wants the Seattle area without actually living in downtown Seattle.
Kirkland is on the Eastside of Seattle, right on Lake Washington, with restaurants, shopping, parks, waterfront access and plenty to do outside of work.
You're also in a great position for exploring the rest of the Pacific Northwest on your days off — Seattle, the mountains, hiking, skiing/snowboarding and the surrounding Puget Sound area.
The traveler feedback is pretty encouraging.
A recent L&D contract nurse rated the facility 5/5, specifically calling out the staff as great. The only downside mentioned was that the facility did not offer self-scheduling.
My client currently has a 4.1/5 rating from 65 traveler reviews on Vivian, with multiple recent contract nurses leaving positive feedback.
There are also broader RN reviews that describe strong coworkers, collaboration and supportive teams, although some nurses mention that the workload can be demanding.

With roughly 350–400 births every month, this isn't the assignment I'd send to someone looking for a slow-paced L&D unit.
It's much better suited for an experienced L&D nurse who likes staying busy and wants a strong OB environment.
