Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected 36 hours/week | Rotating every other weekend
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit operating under AWHONN staffing standards, with a 6-bed unit plus triage/recovery room and on-unit OR
- Circulate for cesarean sections performed on the unit
- Perform fetal monitoring in accordance with current competency requirements
- Manage postpartum patients at ratios up to 6:1 (typically 3–4:1) and provide care for OB/GYN and simple med/surg overflow patients as needed
- Float within the unit for low-census coverage (L/D to sit or task; PP rotates for low census)
- Fulfill minimal on-call requirements as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Fetal monitoring class completed within the past 2 years required
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered for travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience circulating in an OR for Labor & Delivery/cesarean sections
- Familiarity with GE Centricity and/or Meditech EHR systems
- Strong team-player mindset with the ability to work in a high-risk OB environment
