    Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP Float)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | Shift times: 0645–1915 / 1845–0715 | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to obstetric and postpartum patients across a combined LDRP unit, including couplet care
    • Read, interpret, and respond to electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) strips independently
    • Titrate common drips including pitocin, insulin, and magnesium per physician orders and quality metrics
    • Adhere to AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines (1:1 for pit, mag, or insulin drips; 1:3 for couplet care)
    • Float to other hospital units including Med/Surg and the Emergency Room as staffing needs require
    • Collaborate with CNAs and charge nurses to ensure safe patient transitions, ambulation, and care delivery on a locked unit
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure in good standing
    • Current BLS certification
    • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret fetal monitoring strips
    • Experience titrating drips (pitocin, insulin, magnesium)
    • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to a dynamic clinical environment
    • Previous travel nursing experience
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Current ACLS certification
    • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
    • S.T.A.B.L.E. program certification
    • Familiarity with Meditech EMR and/or Philips telemetry monitors
