Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery / Birthing Center setting with patient ratios of 4–6:1
- Perform and interpret fetal monitoring including non-stress tests (NSTs)
- Care for high-risk obstetric patients including those with PPROM, preeclampsia, placenta previa, and preterm labor
- Support post-operative gynecological and urogynecological surgery patients, as well as GYN oncology post-op cases
- Utilize unit equipment including Welch Allyn vitals machines, CPN monitors, and POC glucose monitoring devices
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech and CPN electronic medical record systems
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care Postpartum experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of overall nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior OB or Labor & Delivery experience beyond postpartum
- Medical-surgical nursing experience
- Gynecology (GYN) nursing experience
