Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) | One summer holiday, one winter eve, and one winter night will be assigned based on need
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit with a 1:2 patient ratio across a 7-room unit averaging approximately 3–4 patients daily
- Perform scrub and circulate roles for C-sections
- Utilize fetal monitoring skills and support high-risk deliveries, vaginal deliveries, C-section recovery, neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum care
- Float within scope as needed to Mother/Baby, serve as baby catcher, and support the nursery
- Document and chart using Epic
Required Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Ability to scrub and circulate C-sections
- Experience with fetal monitoring, high-risk deliveries, vaginal deliveries, C-section recovery, neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum care
- Local candidates are welcome; a local rate differential applies
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
