Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for Labor & Delivery patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards.
- Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction.
- Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
- Monitor and interpret electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) data to support patient safety and clinical decision-making.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting.
Required Qualifications
- Active Maryland RN license (Nursys verification must be less than 30 days old).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent, high-volume Labor & Delivery experience required.
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification.
- Active Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification.
- Active NIH Stroke Scale/Score (NIHSS) certification.
- NRP certification required.
- COVID vaccination required; declinations are not accepted and must be state record.
- Must be willing to work the facility's schedule without scheduling restrictions.
- Previous travel nursing experience required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume acute care Labor & Delivery unit.
- Familiarity with electronic fetal monitoring interpretation and documentation.
